Rock Ferry and Tranmere run along the Mersey between Birkenhead and New Ferry. The streets are mostly Victorian and Edwardian terraces, many now rented or split into flats, with the early Victorian villas of Rock Park, one of the first planned residential estates of its kind, in its own conservation area by the river.
A lot of our work here is for landlords: electrical safety reports every five years, the remedial work that follows, smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, and full rewires between tenancies. For homeowners, the big jobs are rewires in older terraces and replacing old fuse boards.
